The film is directed and co-written by Junpei Matsumoto, himself a third-generation atomic bomb survivor from Nagasaki, and stars Hinako Kikuchi, who is making her first leading role in a film.[2][3] Set in Nagasaki in the summer of 1945, just after the atomic bomb was dropped, the story follows three people who helped victims of the atomic bomb.
